being inspired by the delft pottery at the castle museum, i produced a number of drawings which i scanned and manipulated on the computer. i managed to create really interesting patterns by duplicating the image to form a repeat pattern. i think some of them are quite charming, like the tiles themselves, and i could imagine them being used as wall and/or wrapping paper.
i can't wait to take these into the print workshop to print onto fabric :)

visual research conclusion.
We had to choose one of the following conclusions.
conclusion 1 – interiors
You are to visit The Granary, Habitat or The Bell Jar. Find an interiors collection that you connect with or find interesting.
Create a range of final surface designs (minimum 3) that would fit into one of the
collections held in the shop.
conclusion 2 – fashion
You are to visit Top Shop, River Island and Nola. Acknowledge and
recognise the differences in their collections. Choose one.
Create a collection of surface designs (minimum 3) that would fit into one of the
collections.
conclusion 3 – site specific
You are to decide on an interior space in Norwich.
Create a drawing/s that consider the space and become specific and connected to it.
Show how the drawings fit into the space (minimum 3).
i chose conclusion 1 - interiors. i collected a number of different interior brochures from the granary which is a big shop specialising in furnishing and interior design. i decided to adapt all my work to fit in the colour schemes and style of each brochure. here are a range of my final conclusions;

digital work development.
from the tracing i have created from my norwich photographs, i have drawn a number of shapes to manipulate in photoshop to create digital drawings.
